Looking Beyond the LG Gram Book 16 64GB? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How these alternatives compare

NIMO 17.3" Ryzen 7 64GB RAM Laptop

The NIMO 17.3-inch model swaps the LG Gram’s 16-inch panel for a larger 17.3-inch display. It keeps the 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD you get in the original, but uses a standard Ryzen 7 processor instead of the Ryzen AI 7. This means you lose the dedicated NPU for local AI tasks. The screen is bigger, which helps with multitasking, but the laptop weighs 4.6 pounds, making it slightly heavier than the 4-pound Gram. If you need more screen real estate and do not require specialized AI hardware, this is a solid choice. It offers similar storage and memory for general heavy lifting.

Ist Computers Latitude 14-Inch Touchscreen

The Ist Computers Latitude 14-inch is a business-focused alternative that reduces the screen size to 14 inches. It retains the high-end 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD configuration found in the LG Gram. However, it drops the touchscreen and the Ryzen AI processor. This model is designed for portability, weighing just 3.09 pounds, which is lighter than the 4-pound Gram. It lacks the vibrant color gamut and touch interface of the original. If you prioritize a compact, lightweight device for office work and do not need AI acceleration or a touch screen, this Dell Latitude variant offers a more professional, streamlined experience with similar memory capacity.

ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Ryzen 9

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 is a significant departure from the LG Gram’s design. It features a Ryzen 9 processor and an RTX 5070 graphics card, which the Gram lacks. While it also offers 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD, it weighs 10 pounds and is much thicker. The 16-inch screen has a 165Hz refresh rate, ideal for gaming, whereas the Gram’s display is optimized for productivity. This laptop sacrifices portability and battery life for raw graphical power. If you need dedicated GPU performance for gaming or heavy creative rendering, this ASUS model is far more capable. It is not a direct alternative for users who value thinness and AI-specific features.

Lenovo ThinkPad 14-Inch 64GB RAM Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 offers a 14-inch non-touch display with 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD. It uses a business-oriented design, weighing 5 pounds, which is heavier than the LG Gram. It lacks the Ryzen AI processor and the high-brightness, color-accurate screen of the original. This model is built for durability and enterprise features rather than multimedia consumption or AI tasks. If you work in a corporate environment and need a reliable, compact machine with high memory, this ThinkPad is a strong option. It gives up the touch interface and AI acceleration for a more traditional, rugged business laptop experience.

HP HyperX Omen 15 RTX 5060 Laptop

The HP Omen 15 provides a 15-inch form factor with 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD. It includes an RTX 5060 graphics card and a Ryzen 7 processor, differing from the Gram’s integrated Radeon graphics and Ryzen AI chip. The laptop weighs 5.35 pounds and is thicker than the Gram. It targets users who need dedicated graphics for creative work or gaming in a slightly smaller chassis than the 16-inch models. You trade the AI processing capabilities and ultra-portability of the Gram for better graphical performance. If you need a mid-sized laptop with strong GPU power for rendering or gaming, this HP Omen is a viable alternative.

Dell Pro 16 Laptop with 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD

The Dell Pro 16 from Ist Computers matches the LG Gram’s 16-inch size, 64GB RAM, and 2TB SSD. It weighs 4.23 pounds, slightly more than the Gram. The data does not specify a Ryzen AI processor or touchscreen for this Dell model, suggesting it may lack those specific features. It is positioned for memory-heavy professional workflows. If you prefer a Dell brand and do not require the AI NPU or touch interface, this model offers similar core specifications. It provides a comparable memory and storage setup in a similar form factor, focusing on general productivity rather than specialized AI or multimedia enhancements.
