If you are searching for lenovo legion 5 intel ultra alternatives, you might want a different screen size or refresh rate. We selected these 6 similar picks because their specifications overlap with the original laptop. Each alternative shares the RTX 5070 graphics card, ensuring comparable gaming performance. You may prefer a larger 16-inch or 18-inch screen for more workspace. Some options offer higher refresh rates like 240Hz for smoother motion. Others provide different processor brands or storage capacities. This list helps you compare these specific hardware differences. You can choose a device that better fits your preferred display size and memory requirements.
How each alternative compares
ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Ryzen 9
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 swaps the OLED panel for a standard 165Hz display on a 16-inch screen. You gain a slightly larger viewing area but lose the deep blacks and vibrant colors of the Legion 5’s OLED. Both models share the RTX 5070 GPU and 64GB of RAM, ensuring similar gaming performance. The ASUS uses a Ryzen 9 processor instead of Intel’s Ultra 9. It weighs 10 pounds, which is significantly heavier than the Legion 5’s 4.1 pounds. This makes the ASUS less portable. If you prefer a larger screen and do not need OLED visuals, this is a solid choice. However, the extra weight may bother those who travel often.
HP OMEN 16 Ryzen 9 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop
The HP OMEN 16 offers a much faster 240Hz refresh rate compared to the Legion 5’s 165Hz. This provides smoother motion in fast-paced games. It also features a 16-inch screen and 64GB of RAM. The HP uses a Ryzen 9 processor, differing from the Intel Ultra 9 in the Legion. It weighs 5.4 pounds, which is heavier than the Legion 5. You give up the OLED display quality for higher speed. The 1TB SSD is smaller than some Legion 5 variations. This model suits gamers who prioritize frame rates over color accuracy. It is a good option if you play competitive shooters and want a brighter, faster screen without the OLED premium.
ASUS ROG Strix 16" RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 with 300Hz refresh rate delivers the fastest visuals in this list. It matches the Legion 5’s 64GB RAM and RTX 5070 GPU. The screen is 16 inches, larger than the Legion’s 15.3 inches. You trade the OLED panel for a high-speed standard display. This model weighs 5.51 pounds, making it heavier than the Legion 5. It uses a Ryzen 9 processor. The 1TB SSD is standard. This pick is for users who need maximum refresh rates for competitive gaming. If you value speed over color depth and portability, this is the better option. The Legion 5 remains better for creative work due to its screen quality.
MSI Crosshair 18 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop
The MSI Crosshair 18 features a massive 18-inch screen, significantly larger than the Legion 5’s 15.3 inches. It matches the Legion 5’s Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and 64GB RAM. The RTX 5070 GPU is also identical. You get a 240Hz refresh rate, which is faster than the Legion’s 165Hz. However, it weighs 6.83 pounds, making it much less portable. The screen is likely standard, not OLED. This model is for desktop replacements or stationary users. If you want the biggest screen and top-tier processing power, choose this. The Legion 5 is better for those who need to carry the laptop or prefer OLED visuals.
HP Omen 16 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop
The HP Omen 16 Slim focuses on storage capacity with up to 4TB SSD options, exceeding most Legion 5 configurations. It shares the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and 64GB RAM. The RTX 5070 GPU is the same. The screen is 16 inches with a 144Hz refresh rate, which is slower than the Legion 5’s 165Hz. It lacks the OLED display. The listed weight is 49.8 pounds, which appears to be a data error, but it is likely heavier than the Legion 5. This model is for users who need massive storage and high memory. If you prioritize storage space over screen speed and color, this is a viable alternative.
MSI Crosshair 18 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop
The MSI Crosshair 18 with 2TB SSD offers double the storage of the base Legion 5 models. It shares the 18-inch screen size and 240Hz refresh rate. The Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and 64GB RAM match the Legion 5’s high-end specs. The RTX 5070 GPU is identical. You give up the OLED display for a larger, faster standard screen. It weighs 6.83 pounds, which is heavy. This model is for stationary power users who need extra storage and screen real estate. If you do not need portability and want more storage and a bigger screen, this is the best choice. The Legion 5 remains superior for mobile use and visual quality.
