6 Best Alternatives to the Dell Latitude 14 Core i7 (2026)

Comparing Dell Latitude 14 Alternatives

Dell Inspiron 15.6" Touchscreen Core i7 Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 15.6-inch Touchscreen Laptop swaps the compact 14-inch form factor for a larger 15.6-inch display. You gain a roomier touch screen and a more powerful 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with 10 cores. This setup handles daily multitasking more aggressively than the Latitude 7420’s quad-core chip. However, you accept a heavier chassis at 4 pounds compared to the Latitude’s 2.66 pounds. The added weight reduces portability for frequent travelers. If you prioritize screen real estate and raw processing speed over lightweight mobility, this Inspiron model offers a robust alternative for stationary or occasional mobile use.

Dell Latitude 15.6" Core i7 Laptop

This Dell Latitude 15.6-inch model expands the display area while maintaining the Latitude business lineage. You get a spacious Full HD anti-glare screen, which is beneficial if you need extra workspace for spreadsheets or documents. The 15.6-inch size requires a larger footprint, making it less convenient for tight laptop bags than the 14-inch Latitude 7420. It weighs 5 pounds, significantly heavier than the original’s 2.66 pounds. This choice suits users who want a larger monitor for office work and do not carry the device daily. It provides reliable Core i7 performance in a budget-conscious package, prioritizing display size over compact design.

Dell Latitude 13.3" Core i7 Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude 7320 13.3-inch Business Laptop reduces the screen size to 13.3 inches, making it the most compact option on this list. It weighs 3 pounds, which is slightly heavier than the Latitude 7420 but still highly portable. This model emphasizes business stability and vPro security features, targeting travelers who prioritize device protection and compactness. You sacrifice screen real estate for easier transport. The 13.3-inch display is smaller than the 14-inch FHD panel on the original. If you need a secure, pocketable laptop for frequent commuting and do not require a larger viewing area, this compact Latitude variant is a practical alternative.

Apple MacBook Pro 15-Inch Intel Core i7

The Apple MacBook Pro 15-Inch Intel Core i7 introduces a completely different ecosystem with its Retina display and Touch Bar. You gain a high-resolution screen and macOS functionality, which differs significantly from the Windows 11 environment of the Dell Latitude. It weighs 2.12 ounces according to the data, though this figure seems inconsistent with typical laptop weights; assuming standard build, it offers a premium build quality. The 15-inch size is larger than the 14-inch Dell, providing more screen space. It includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. This option is ideal for users who prefer Apple’s hardware and software integration over Dell’s business-oriented Windows platform.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 14" Core i7

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 14-inch Laptop matches the 14-inch form factor but offers a higher resolution 1920 x 1200 screen compared to the Latitude’s 1920 x 1080 display. It features a 10-core CPU, providing more processing power than the Latitude’s quad-core i7. The weight is 2.9 pounds, slightly heavier than the Dell’s 2.66 pounds. This ThinkPad delivers balanced performance and portability for multitasking. It is a solid alternative if you want a sharper screen and more cores without sacrificing too much mobility. The ThinkPad brand is known for durability, making it a reliable choice for professionals who need a sturdy 14-inch laptop with modern specifications.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 14-inch Core i7 Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 14-inch FHD Laptop focuses on durability and ample RAM rather than cutting-edge processor speed. It features a 14-inch display and 16GB of RAM, similar to the Dell Latitude 7420. However, it weighs 3.12 pounds, making it heavier and less portable than the 2.66-pound Dell. The build quality emphasizes business durability, appealing to users who value ruggedness over lightweight design. It uses an older Core i7-10610U processor, which may be slower than the 11th Gen i7 in the Latitude. This model is suitable for business users who prioritize a sturdy chassis and reliable performance in a stationary or semi-mobile work environment.
