6 Best Alternatives to the NIMO 17.3" Ryzen 9 8945HS (2026)

How these alternatives compare

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 14" Ultra 7 Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 shifts from a large 17.3-inch screen to a compact 14-inch display. It keeps the 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD found in the NIMO, ensuring robust multitasking for business tasks. However, it drops the Ryzen 9 processor for an Ultra 7 chip, which may offer less peak performance for heavy creative workloads. The ThinkPad prioritizes portability and business-grade durability over the immersive screen real estate of the NIMO. If you travel frequently and need a secure, professional machine, this 14-inch form factor is a practical alternative. It sacrifices the wide viewing angle for easier transport and a smaller footprint in your bag.

Lenovo ThinkPad 14 Touchscreen Laptop

This Lenovo ThinkPad T14 also features a 14-inch screen, offering a significant reduction in size compared to the NIMO’s 17.3-inch panel. It retains the 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD configuration, matching the NIMO’s multitasking capabilities. The key difference is the inclusion of a touchscreen, which the NIMO does not list. This model emphasizes security and compact design for daily business use. You give up the expansive visual field of the NIMO but gain a lighter, more portable device that fits easily on small desks. It is ideal for users who prioritize mobility and touch interaction over the larger display area provided by the NIMO 17.3-inch model.

HP 17.3" i5 Business Laptop

The HP 17.3-inch Business Laptop matches the NIMO’s screen size, providing the same large 17.3-inch display for immersive work or media consumption. It also includes 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, aligning with the NIMO’s memory and storage capacity. The primary difference lies in the processor, using an Intel Core i5-1334U instead of the Ryzen 9 8945HS. This Intel chip may offer lower peak performance for intensive tasks but fits well for standard office work. The HP model is a practical choice if you need the large screen but prefer an Intel-based system for specific software compatibility or budget considerations, trading raw power for familiar business hardware.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 14" Touchscreen Laptop

This Lenovo ThinkPad T14 offers a 14-inch touchscreen, contrasting sharply with the NIMO’s 17.3-inch non-touch panel. It maintains the 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD, ensuring similar multitasking performance for business applications. The ThinkPad is designed for mobile professionals, emphasizing portability and security features over the NIMO’s focus on large-screen immersion. You trade the expansive display for a more compact device that is easier to carry and use on the go. The touchscreen adds versatility for presentations and direct interaction. This alternative suits users who need strong performance in a smaller, more portable package without the bulk of a 17-inch laptop.

ASUS ROG Strix 18 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix 18 represents a major shift from the NIMO’s integrated graphics to a dedicated RTX 5070 GPU. It features an 18-inch display, which is larger than the NIMO’s 17.3-inch panel, providing even more screen real estate for gaming. Like the NIMO, it includes 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, but the RTX 5070 delivers significantly higher graphical performance for AAA titles. This laptop is built for desktop replacement gaming, prioritizing raw power and visual fidelity over the NIMO’s portability and AI features. It is the clear choice for serious gamers who need dedicated graphics and a larger screen, accepting the increased weight and size as a trade-off for superior gaming performance.

HP Omen 16 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop

The HP OMEN 16 also upgrades from the NIMO’s integrated Radeon 780M graphics to a dedicated RTX 5070 GPU, offering much higher gaming performance. It features a 16-inch display with a 240Hz refresh rate, providing smoother visuals compared to the NIMO’s standard FHD screen. The OMEN retains the 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD, matching the NIMO’s memory and storage capacity. This laptop is designed for high-performance gaming, prioritizing speed and graphical intensity over the NIMO’s business and AI features. It suits players who want a large, high-refresh-rate screen and dedicated graphics, accepting a slightly different form factor and weight for superior gaming capabilities and fluid frame rates.
