If you are looking for Dell XPS 13 9300 13.4 inch alternatives, this guide compares 6 similar picks. The original model features an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 13.4-inch FHD touchscreen. Its aluminum build and Gorilla Glass 6 display offer durability for daily tasks. This configuration suits users who prioritize portability and touch interaction over raw gaming power.
You might prefer a different option if you need a larger screen, a 4K display, or a convertible design. Some alternatives provide higher refresh rates for gaming or more storage capacity. We selected these models because their specifications overlap with the original Dell XPS. The list includes devices with varying screen sizes, from 13.3 inches to 15.6 inches, and different form factors like 2-in-1 convertibles. Each pick addresses specific needs while maintaining core performance metrics similar to the base model.
Our top pick: Dell XPS 13.4" Touchscreen Intel i7 Laptop.
Comparing alternatives to Dell XPS
ASUS ROG Strix G16 165Hz RTX 4060 Laptop
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 swaps the XPS 13’s 13.4-inch screen for a larger 16-inch 165Hz display. It keeps the Intel Core i7 and 16GB RAM but adds an RTX 4060 graphics card for gaming. This model weighs 5.51 pounds, making it lighter than the 6.64-pound Dell, though its dimensions are bulkier. You gain high frame rates for gaming but lose the compact portability and touchscreen features of the XPS. Choose this if you prioritize raw performance and a larger, faster refresh rate over the sleek, thin design of the Dell XPS 13.
Dell XPS 13.3" 4K UHD Touch Laptop
The Dell XPS 13 13.3-inch 4K model offers a significantly higher resolution display than the FHD screen on the original. It retains the Intel Core i7 and 16GB RAM but reduces the screen size slightly to 13.3 inches. Weighing only 2.8 pounds, it is much lighter than the 6.64-pound original, enhancing portability. You get sharper visuals and a thinner 0.5-inch profile, but you sacrifice the 13.4-inch size and potentially the specific Gorilla Glass 6 durability details listed for the original. Pick this if you want maximum sharpness and minimal weight.
Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 Touch Laptop
The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 maintains the 13.4-inch screen size and Intel Core i7 processor but converts into a tablet. It weighs 2.9 pounds, which is less than half the weight of the original 6.64-pound model. The thickness is also reduced to 0.51 inches. This convertible form factor allows for touch input in multiple modes, similar to the original touchscreen. You gain versatility and extreme portability but may give up the specific aluminum construction details and dual-fan cooling setup described for the standard XPS 13 9300. Choose this for flexible usage modes.
Dell Inspiron 15.6" Touchscreen Core i7 Laptop
The Dell Inspiron 15.6-inch expands your screen real estate to 15.6 inches while keeping the Intel Core i7 and 16GB RAM. It shares the 512GB SSD storage capacity with the original. Weighing 4 pounds, it is lighter than the original XPS 13 but significantly bulkier in length and width. You gain a larger display for business multitasking but lose the compact 13.4-inch form factor and the specific Gorilla Glass 6 display protection. This model fits users who need more screen space and do not require the ultra-portable size of the XPS 13.
Dell Latitude 14 Core i7 Laptop
The Dell Latitude 14-inch offers a 14-inch non-touch screen, differing from the original’s 13.4-inch touchscreen. It uses an Intel Core i7 and 16GB RAM with 512GB SSD storage. Weighing 2.66 pounds, it is much lighter than the 6.64-pound original. The 0.76-inch thickness is slightly thicker than the original’s 0.71 inches. You trade the touchscreen capability and compact 13.4-inch size for a standard 14-inch business display and significant weight savings. Select this if you prefer a traditional non-touch laptop with high portability and similar processing power.
Dell Latitude 15.6" Core i7 Laptop
The Dell Latitude 15.6-inch provides a large 15.6-inch screen and Intel Core i7 processing power with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It weighs 5 pounds, which is lighter than the original 6.64-pound XPS 13. However, its dimensions are much larger, measuring 22.2 inches in length. You gain substantial screen space for business tasks but lose the compact, portable design and touchscreen features of the original. This model suits users who prioritize screen size and processing power over the thin, light profile and touch interface of the Dell XPS 13.
