How each alternative compares
MSI Katana 15 HX 15.6" Gaming Laptop
The MSI Katana 15 HX shifts focus from business security to raw gaming power. It pairs an Intel Core i9 processor with an RTX 5070 graphics card, a significant upgrade from the Latitude 5520’s integrated graphics. You gain a 165Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals, but you trade the Latitude’s business-oriented vPro management and fingerprint reader for higher weight at 4.96 pounds. This model suits gamers who prioritize graphical fidelity and processing speed over portability and enterprise security features.
Dell Latitude 15.6" 32GB RAM Laptop
This Dell Latitude 5520 variant keeps the 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD but uses an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor instead of the 1185G7 vPro. You accept an HD screen resolution here, which is a step down from the Latitude’s Full HD IPS display. The weight increases slightly to 3.88 pounds. This option fits multitasking business users who need high memory capacity and fast storage but can compromise on display clarity and advanced vPro security features for a potentially different configuration.
NIMO 15.6" Ryzen 7 Light Gaming Laptop
The NIMO 15.6" Ryzen 7 laptop offers 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, matching the Latitude’s memory and storage capacity. It replaces the Intel Core i7 with a Ryzen 7 processor and lacks the Latitude’s dedicated business security features like the smart card reader and vPro platform. You gain a backlit keyboard and versatile ports for daily tasks. This model suits students and light creative workers who prioritize RAM and storage performance over the specific business security and manageability tools found in the Dell Latitude.
Dell Latitude 15.6" Core Ultra 5 Laptop
The Ist Computers Dell Latitude 5550 upgrades the processor to a Core Ultra 5 while maintaining 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. It retains the business form factor but increases the weight slightly to 3.58 pounds. This model is designed for professionals who rely on Thunderbolt docks and external displays. You get modern processing power suitable for business multitasking, but you may find the workflow tailored more toward external monitor setups and docking stations compared to the standalone utility of the Latitude 5520.
HP Victus 15.6" Ryzen 7 RTX 4050 Gaming Laptop
The HP Victus 15.6" swaps the Intel Core i7 for a Ryzen 7 processor and adds an RTX 4050 graphics card, a clear move toward gaming performance. You gain a 144Hz refresh rate, but you lose the Latitude’s business security features and HD IR camera. The weight jumps to 5 pounds, making it less portable. This laptop fits users who prioritize graphical power and ample RAM for gaming and multitasking over the security, manageability, and lighter weight of the Dell Latitude business model.
MSI Cyborg 15.6" RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop
The MSI Cyborg 15.6" pairs a Ryzen 9 processor with an RTX 5060 graphics card, delivering high-refresh-rate gaming performance at 144Hz. It includes 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, matching the Latitude’s memory and storage. However, it weighs 7 pounds, significantly heavier than the Latitude’s 3.5 pounds. You trade business security features and portability for raw gaming power. This model suits gamers who prioritize high refresh rates and processing strength over the lightweight, secure design of the Dell Latitude 15.6" Core i7 Laptop.
