Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this laptop if you need a large, high-resolution screen for content creation, photo editing, or spreadsheet work but travel frequently. The lightweight design and long battery life (implied by Intel Evo) make it ideal for remote workers, students, and digital artists who move between locations. The ample 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM handle memory-intensive tasks well, supporting a workflow that requires multiple applications open simultaneously without significant slowdowns.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you require dedicated graphics processing for modern 3D gaming or heavy video rendering. This model relies on integrated Intel Xe Graphics, which are sufficient for everyday tasks and light creative work but not for demanding graphical applications. Additionally, if you need more than 16GB of RAM for professional-grade virtualization or large dataset processing, the base configuration may limit your performance, and you would need to seek a higher-tier variation.
Verdict: The LG gram 17 offers a rare blend of a large, vibrant display and exceptional portability. It is a strong choice for mobile professionals who prioritize screen space and weight over dedicated gaming graphics.

You need a stable surface for typing. The large keyboard area benefits from the wider chassis.
Portability is the main design goal here. You get a big screen in a light body. This balance suits travelers who need desktop-like productivity. You can edit photos or watch videos on the go. The 0.7-inch thickness keeps the center of gravity low. You handle it with one hand more easily than heavier alternatives. The build focuses on moving you and your work. It is not a stationary desktop replacement. It is a mobile workstation for frequent movers.

Before You Buy This Laptop
This 17-inch model offers a large canvas but requires a sturdy bag. Its 2.98-pound weight is manageable, yet the 15-inch length needs a dedicated sleeve. You should verify that your travel case accommodates the 10.2-inch width. The Thunderbolt 4 ports allow for fast data transfer and docking, but you may need a USB-C hub for legacy devices. Keep the 1TB SSD organized, as large files fill space quickly. The Intel Xe graphics handle light editing well, but intensive gaming may require external hardware.
