The LG Gram 16 120Hz Touchscreen Laptop offers a 16-inch WUXGA display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 16GB LPDDR5X memory. If you need lg gram 16 laptop alternatives, consider how your priorities might shift from its ultra-light 3.96-pound design to other form factors. This model excels at portability and smooth visuals, but its integrated AMD Radeon Graphics may not suit heavy gaming. You might prefer a dedicated GPU for higher frame rates or a different screen size for better ergonomics. Some users may also want more storage capacity or a distinct operating system experience.
We selected these 6 options because their specifications overlap with the original in key areas like memory, screen size, or processor class. Each pick targets a specific use case, from premium gaming performance to budget-friendly 2-in-1 versatility. For instance, the MSI Cyborg 17 provides an RTX 5060 GPU for graphics-intensive tasks, while the Microsoft Surface Pro 13 offers OLED clarity in a tablet form. The Acer Nitro V 16 delivers a 165Hz refresh rate for competitive play. These alternatives maintain relevance by matching the original’s 16GB RAM baseline or 16-inch footprint, ensuring you find a device that aligns with your exact technical requirements without compromising on essential features.
Comparing LG Gram 16 Alternatives
MSI Cyborg 17 17.3" RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop
The MSI Cyborg 17 swaps the LG Gram 16’s ultralight portability for a larger 17.3-inch screen and dedicated RTX 5060 graphics. While the LG offers 120Hz smoothness on a WUXGA panel, the MSI pushes 144Hz refresh rates for gaming. You gain significant visual power and a 1TB SSD, but the weight jumps to 5.29 pounds and thickness increases to 0.87 inches. This model suits gamers who prioritize screen size and GPU performance over the 3.96-pound carry weight of the Gram. It trades the Ryzen AI processor for an Intel Core 7, shifting focus from AI productivity to raw graphical rendering for immersive gaming experiences.
Microsoft Surface Pro 13-Inch OLED 2-in-1
The Microsoft Surface Pro 13 OLED prioritizes extreme portability and display quality over the LG Gram 16’s traditional laptop form factor. It features a 13-inch OLED screen, which offers superior contrast compared to the Gram’s IPS panel, but sacrifices the 16-inch size and 120Hz refresh rate. At just 1.97 inches thick, it is significantly more compact than the Gram’s 0.64-inch chassis, though it lacks the dedicated touch capabilities described for the LG. You get 16GB RAM and 1TB storage in a versatile 2-in-1 design. This pick is ideal for users who value media consumption and a tablet-like experience over the larger workspace and specific touch interface of the LG Gram.
Acer Nitro V 16 RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop
The Acer Nitro V 16 targets gamers with a 165Hz refresh rate, surpassing the LG Gram 16’s 120Hz panel for smoother motion. It includes an RTX 5060 graphics card, offering dedicated gaming performance that the Gram’s integrated AMD Radeon Graphics cannot match. While it matches the 16-inch screen size and offers 16GB RAM, it weighs 4.63 pounds, making it heavier than the Gram’s 3.96-pound design. The 2TB SSD provides ample storage, similar to the top LG configuration. This laptop is best for users who need high-refresh gaming capabilities and a discrete GPU, accepting the trade-off of reduced portability and integrated graphics efficiency found in the LG model.
Microsoft Surface Laptop 15 Snapdragon X2 Elite
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 15 Snapdragon X2 offers a lighter 3.67-pound profile than the LG Gram 16’s 3.96 pounds, emphasizing everyday productivity. It features a 15-inch display, which is smaller than the Gram’s 16-inch WUXGA screen, and lacks the 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon X2 processor focuses on efficiency rather than the AI-centric Ryzen AI 7 found in the LG. With 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, it matches the memory but offers less base storage than the 4TB LG option. This device suits students and professionals who prioritize battery life and a compact footprint over the larger screen real estate and specific AI features of the LG Gram 16.
Lenovo Legion 5a 15.3" OLED RTX 5060 Laptop
The Lenovo Legion 5a delivers a vivid OLED display and RTX 5060 graphics, contrasting sharply with the LG Gram 16’s IPS screen and integrated graphics. It features a 165Hz refresh rate, exceeding the Gram’s 120Hz for faster visual updates. However, it weighs 7 pounds, significantly more than the Gram’s 3.96 pounds, and includes only 512GB storage compared to the LG’s 4TB option. The Ryzen 7 processor provides solid performance, but the focus is on gaming and content creation rather than ultralight mobility. This laptop is for users who value screen quality and dedicated GPU power, accepting the bulk and lower storage capacity compared to the portable LG Gram.
HP OMEN 16 Slim RTX 5060 Laptop
The HP OMEN 16 Slim focuses on high-performance gaming with an RTX 5060 graphics card, unlike the LG Gram 16’s integrated AMD Radeon solution. It offers 16GB RAM but includes only 512GB of storage, which is much less than the LG’s 4TB NVMe SSD. Weighing 5.35 pounds, it is heavier than the Gram’s 3.96-pound design, prioritizing cooling and performance over portability. The 16-inch screen provides similar real estate, but the dedicated GPU targets gamers who need visual fidelity over the productivity-focused AI features of the LG. This model is best for users who want strong gaming specs and are willing to carry more weight for better graphical performance.
