6 Best Alternatives to the Dell Latitude FHD Intel i7 (2026)

Comparing Dell Latitude Alternatives

Dell Inspiron 15.6" Touchscreen Core i7 Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 15.6-inch Touchscreen offers a significantly larger display than the Latitude 7480’s compact 14-inch panel. You get 13th Generation Intel Core i7 processing power, which is several generations newer than the i7-7600U in the original. This provides better performance for modern business applications and AI features. The touchscreen adds a layer of interactivity absent from the Latitude’s standard display. However, the Inspiron is heavier at four pounds and lacks the refined business-grade build of the Latitude series. It is ideal for users who prioritize screen real estate and modern internals over portability and traditional business durability.

Dell Latitude 15.6" Core i7 Laptop

The Dell Latitude 5520 features a 15.6-inch display, giving you more screen space than the 14-inch Latitude 7480. It includes Intel vPro technology, which enhances remote management and security capabilities for business environments. The 15.6-inch screen is beneficial for multitasking with multiple windows open. Like the original, it includes 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. The trade-off is size and weight; the Latitude 5520 weighs five pounds and measures 22.2 inches in length, making it less portable. This model suits professionals who need a sturdy, larger-screen workstation for desk-bound tasks rather than frequent travel.

Dell Latitude 13.3" Core i7 Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude 7320 is a 13.3-inch model, making it smaller and more portable than the 14-inch Latitude 7480. It weighs only three pounds, offering better mobility for frequent travelers. The inclusion of Thunderbolt 4 connectivity provides faster data transfer and peripheral support compared to older ports. It retains the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration of the original. The downside is the smaller screen, which may feel cramped for detailed work. This laptop is best for users who value compactness and modern connectivity standards over the slightly larger 14-inch display of the Latitude 7480.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 14-inch Core i7 Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 features a 14-inch screen, similar in size to the Latitude 7480. It weighs 3.12 pounds, which is slightly heavier than the Latitude 7480’s implied lightweight design. The ThinkPad is known for its durable build and business-focused keyboard, appealing to users who prioritize typing comfort and longevity. It includes 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, matching the original’s storage and memory specs. The processor generation may differ, but the T14 offers proven reliability for business applications. Choose this alternative if you prefer the ThinkPad ecosystem and build quality over the Dell Latitude experience.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 14-inch Intel Core i7 Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 14-inch Intel Core i7 Laptop offers a compact form factor similar to the Latitude 7480. It includes 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, ensuring comparable multitasking and storage capacity. The ThinkPad brand is associated with robust business security features and a reliable trackpad, which may appeal to security-conscious professionals. The screen size is identical, maintaining similar workspace dimensions. However, the specifications list a weight of six pounds, which is significantly heavier than typical 14-inch business laptops. This model suits users who prioritize brand-specific business features and durability over lightweight portability.

Dell Latitude 14" Core i7 Laptop

The Dell Latitude 5440 features a 14-inch display, matching the screen size of the Latitude 7480. It includes 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, providing the same multitasking and storage capabilities. The Latitude 5440 is positioned as a capable business laptop for everyday tasks. It weighs two pounds, making it lighter and more portable than the original Latitude 7480. The newer model likely offers improved performance and efficiency. This alternative is ideal for users who want the familiar 14-inch form factor and Dell business features but with a lighter build and potentially updated internals.
