How to Choose the Right LG Laptop
-
Check Graphics Needs
Most models in this list use integrated Intel Arc graphics, which handle everyday tasks and light gaming well. If you play demanding 3D titles, look for the LG gram Pro 16 RTX 5050. It includes a dedicated graphics card for better visual performance. Integrated chips save weight and battery life, making them ideal for travel. You should only choose the RTX model if graphical power is a priority over maximum portability.
-
Evaluate RAM Capacity
Memory determines how many programs you can run at once. The LG gram Pro 16 Intel Core Ultra 7 includes 32GB of RAM, which supports heavy multitasking. For extreme workloads, the LG Gram Book 15.6-Inch offers 64GB of memory. This allows you to keep dozens of tabs and apps open without slowing down. If you only browse the web, 16GB may suffice, but 32GB is the sweet spot for most users.
-
Assess Storage Space
Storage holds your files, games, and operating system. The LG Gram Book 15.6-Inch provides 8TB of SSD space, which is massive for video editors or data hoarders. The LG gram Pro 16 Intel Core Ultra 7 offers 2TB, a balanced amount for most people. Smaller options like 1TB are sufficient for basic users. Consider how many large games or video projects you store locally to pick the right capacity.
-
Compare Screen Sizes
Screen size affects both portability and workspace. The 16-inch models, like the LG gram Pro 16, offer a good balance of screen real estate and carryability. The 17-inch options provide more horizontal space for spreadsheets or editing timelines but weigh slightly more. The 15.6-inch model is the most compact. Choose based on whether you prioritize a larger canvas or a smaller bag footprint for daily commuting.
-
Weigh Portability Factors
Weight is critical for mobile users. The LG gram Pro 16 Intel Core Ultra 7 weighs just 2.73 pounds, making it exceptionally easy to carry. Even the 17-inch models stay under 3.4 pounds, which is impressive for their size. Heavier models with more storage may weigh closer to 4.3 pounds. If you travel daily, prioritize the lighter chassis. The sub-three-pound category offers the best experience for frequent movers.
