If you are looking for lg gram pro 16 inch alternatives, you likely want a laptop that balances portability with strong performance. The LG gram Pro 16 Touchscreen Laptop offers an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB of RAM, and a lightweight 2.97-pound chassis with a 16-inch WQXGA display. It excels for mobile professionals who need all-day battery life and sharp visuals for multitasking.
However, you might prefer different specifications, such as a dedicated graphics card for gaming or a higher refresh rate for smoother motion. The alternatives in this list were chosen because their specs overlap with the original, offering similar memory and storage capacities. You can find options with RTX 5070 or RTX 5060 GPUs if you need more graphical power. Some models prioritize raw processing speed with Ryzen 9 chips, while others focus on visual fidelity with OLED panels. These choices provide distinct hardware configurations that may better suit your specific workflow or gaming needs.
How each alternative compares
ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Laptop
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 swaps the LG gram Pro’s ultralight design for raw gaming power. It weighs 10 pounds, making it far less portable than the 2.97-pound LG model. However, it features an RTX 5070 graphics card and a 165Hz refresh rate, which the LG lacks. If you prioritize high frame rates and dedicated GPU performance over thinness, this is a stronger choice. You give up all-day battery life and easy travel comfort. This laptop suits gamers and creators who need robust hardware for intensive tasks rather than mobile professionals seeking portability.
GIGABYTE AERO X16 16-Inch RTX 5070 Laptop
The GIGABYTE AERO X16 offers a middle ground between portability and performance. At 4.19 pounds, it is heavier than the LG gram Pro but significantly lighter than typical gaming laptops. It includes an RTX 5070 GPU and 32GB of RAM, providing strong AI acceleration for creators. You trade the LG’s ultra-thin 0.52-inch profile for a thicker 0.79-inch chassis. The AERO X16 fits users who want portable AI-powered gaming and creation capabilities. It is a solid choice if you need more graphics power than the Intel Core Ultra 7 provides but still value a relatively lightweight design for mobility.
MSI Vector 16 RTX 5070 Ti Ryzen 9 Laptop
The MSI Vector 16 RTX 5070 Ti focuses on top-tier performance in a 16-inch form factor. It weighs 5.95 pounds, which is double the weight of the LG gram Pro. It features an RTX 5070 Ti GPU and a 240Hz refresh rate, offering superior visual speed for gaming. You sacrifice the LG’s lightweight portability and long battery life for higher processing power. This laptop suits gamers who want premium specs and do not mind the extra bulk. It is ideal for users who value performance over thinness and need a powerful desktop replacement for gaming and creative work.
ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5060 delivers strong CPU and GPU performance with a 240Hz screen. Weighing 6.02 pounds, it is much heavier than the LG gram Pro’s 2.97 pounds. It lacks a touchscreen and ultralight design, focusing instead on speed and multitasking capacity. You give up the LG’s portability and touch interaction for a high-refresh-rate gaming experience. This model fits gamers who value speed over portability or touch input. It is a practical choice for users who need robust hardware for intensive tasks and do not require the mobility of a thinner chassis.
ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 provides top-tier performance for gamers and creative professionals. At 5.51 pounds, it is significantly heavier than the LG gram Pro. It features an RTX 5070 GPU and a Ryzen 9 processor, offering more power than the Intel Core Ultra 7 in the LG. You trade the LG’s thinness and battery efficiency for a powerful desktop replacement. This laptop suits users who want high performance for gaming and creative tasks. It is best for those who prioritize processing power and graphics capabilities over screen sharpness or portability.
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16" OLED RTX 5060 Laptop
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16 OLED offers a vibrant OLED screen and solid Ryzen 7 performance. It weighs approximately 5.5 pounds, making it heavier than the LG gram Pro. The OLED display provides superior visual quality compared to the LG’s IPS touchscreen, but it lacks touch input. You trade the LG’s portability and AI acceleration for better color accuracy and contrast. This laptop suits gamers who value visual quality over maximum speed. It is a good choice for users who prioritize screen quality and CPU-heavy tasks rather than the lightweight mobility of the LG gram Pro.
