How each alternative compares
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 RTX 5060
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 matches the Lenovo Legion 5 with the same Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and RTX 5060 graphics. It also offers 32GB of RAM and a 240Hz display. The main difference is weight. The Acer weighs 8.82 pounds, which is heavier than the Legion 5 at 8 pounds. You lose some portability for similar performance. This model is ideal if you want a desktop replacement and do not mind the extra mass. It provides the same high-end gaming specs without requiring a larger screen size.
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S OLED RTX 5060
This Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S OLED distinguishes itself with an OLED display. While the Lenovo Legion 5 uses an IPS panel, this model offers superior color accuracy and contrast for creative work. The specs remain consistent with the Core Ultra 9 and 32GB of RAM. However, the chassis is significantly lighter at 5.07 pounds. You gain visual fidelity and portability but trade the standard IPS screen for OLED technology. This choice suits users who prioritize screen quality and mobility over the traditional gaming laptop form factor found in the Legion 5.
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 OLED RTX 5060 Laptop
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 OLED is nearly identical to the previous option. It features the same OLED screen, Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, and 32GB of RAM. The weight is slightly higher at 5.08 pounds. You get the same visual benefits and performance as the other OLED model. The Lenovo Legion 5 remains heavier and uses an IPS display. This alternative is best for those who want the same premium OLED experience but prefer a different hardware configuration. It delivers desktop-level performance in a lighter package than the original Legion 5.
ASUS ROG Strix 18 RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop
The ASUS ROG Strix 18 expands the screen size to 18 inches. It retains the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and RTX 5060 graphics. You gain more visual real estate for gaming and multitasking. The weight is 6.28 pounds, which is lighter than the Lenovo Legion 5. However, the larger chassis makes it less portable. This model fits users who want a bigger display without the extreme bulk of a full desktop replacement. It offers the same processing power in a wider format, appealing to those who prioritize screen size over the 16-inch standard.
ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 returns to the 16-inch form factor. It includes the RTX 5060 and 32GB of RAM, matching the Legion 5’s core specs. The weight is 6.02 pounds, making it significantly lighter than the Lenovo model. You gain portability and a more compact design. The processor details are not fully specified, but the graphics and memory match. This option is ideal for users who want the same gaming performance in a lighter, more manageable chassis. It sacrifices the specific Core Ultra 9 processor for a more portable build.
ASUS ROG Strix 18 RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop
This ASUS ROG Strix 18 is another large-screen option. It features an 18-inch display with the Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5060. The weight is 6.28 pounds. You get the same processing power as the Lenovo Legion 5 but with a wider screen. The chassis is designed for stationary use. This model suits gamers who want maximum screen real estate and high-end specs. It trades the portability of the 16-inch Legion 5 for a larger viewing area. The performance remains consistent, but the physical footprint is larger and less suitable for travel.
