Apple MacBook Air 13-inch M5 1TB

The Apple MacBook Air M5 offers a lighter, thinner design at 2.71 pounds compared to the Latitude's 4.27 pounds. You get 16GB of Unified Memory and 1TB of storage, which provides ample space for files but less multitasking headroom than the Latitude's 32GB RAM. The M5 chip focuses on efficient AI performance and battery life rather than raw processing power. This model suits mobile professionals who prioritize portability and long battery life over high memory capacity. It lacks a touchscreen and Windows compatibility, making it a distinct choice for those comfortable with macOS.

Apple MacBook Air 15-inch M5

This 15-inch MacBook Air provides a larger display for students and creatives who need more screen real estate than the 13.3-inch Latitude. It features 16GB of Unified Memory and a 512GB SSD, offering a balanced setup for everyday tasks. The M5 chip delivers strong AI capabilities and excellent battery life in a portable package. You give up touch input and the Windows operating system found on the Latitude. Microsoft Surface Laptop 13.8 Snapdragon X2 Elite

You trade the Latitude's higher RAM capacity for a sleek, modern design and efficient ARM-based performance. This pick fits students and professionals who value portability and battery life over raw processing power or gaming capabilities, while staying within the Windows ecosystem.

Microsoft Surface Pro 13-Inch Snapdragon X2 Plus

The Microsoft Surface Pro 13 is a versatile 2-in-1 device with a Snapdragon X2 Plus processor. It features 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage, offering flexibility for work or school. The touchscreen and convertible form factor provide a different experience compared to the Latitude's traditional clamshell design. You gain portability and a flexible layout but lose the higher 32GB RAM capacity and dedicated business features. This model is best for users who value a touchscreen and adaptable form factor for travel. It prioritizes portability and battery life over raw processing power, making it suitable for light productivity and creative work on the go.

It is not suitable for users seeking a lightweight, battery-efficient device for business multitasking or casual use.

Apple MacBook Air 15-inch M2 1TB SSD

The Apple MacBook Air 15 M2 provides a 15-inch screen and 1TB of storage, offering more workspace and capacity than the Latitude.
