Looking Beyond the Dell Latitude 15.6" 64GB RAM? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

Comparing 6 Alternatives to Dell Latitude

Dell Latitude 15.6-Inch 64GB Laptop

This Dell Latitude 5520 model shares the same 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD configuration as the top pick. The primary difference is the weight, which reaches 5 pounds compared to the 3.51 pounds of the original. You should choose this version if the seller offers a better price or specific business warranty terms. It retains the Intel Core i7 processor and 15.6-inch screen. However, the heavier chassis may affect portability for daily commutes. The performance specifications remain identical, ensuring you get the same multitasking capabilities for business applications without sacrificing storage capacity or memory bandwidth.

LG Gram Book 15.6" Touchscreen Laptop

The LG Gram 15.6-inch model matches the 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD capacity but distinguishes itself with a lighter build at 3.75 pounds. It uses a Titan Black finish and a different model number, 15U50U-H.AR55. This option is ideal if you prioritize portability alongside high memory. It lacks the specific Intel vPro security features found in the Dell Latitude 5520. The screen size is identical, but the chassis dimensions differ slightly. You gain a more portable device for travel. However, you may lose some of the business-grade durability and specific connectivity options like the SmartCard reader present in the Dell.

Dell Latitude 15.6" Intel Ultra 5 Laptop

This Dell Latitude 5550 offers flexible configuration options, ranging from 8GB to 64GB RAM and 256GB to 2TB storage. It shares the 15.6-inch screen size and similar dimensions to the original. The weight is comparable at 3.58 pounds. You should select this if you need a newer Intel Ultra 5 processor variant or want to customize your memory and storage tier. It provides similar business utility. However, it does not guarantee the specific 64GB/2TB combination unless selected. The chassis is slightly thicker at 0.9 inches. It serves as a solid alternative if you prefer a newer processor architecture or need to adjust the storage capacity.

HP Victus 15.6" RTX 4050 Gaming Laptop

The HP Victus 15.6-inch model includes 64GB RAM and 2.5TB storage, exceeding the Dell's storage capacity. It features an RTX 4050 graphics card and a Ryzen 7 processor, which the Dell lacks. This makes it suitable for gaming or graphics-intensive tasks. The screen refresh rate is 144Hz, offering smoother visuals. However, it is heavier at 5.06 pounds and thicker at 0.93 inches. You give up the business-specific security features of the Latitude for raw performance. Choose this if you need dedicated graphics power and higher storage, accepting the trade-off in portability and business-oriented design.

Lenovo LOQ 15.6" Intel i7 RTX 5060 Laptop

The Lenovo LOQ 15.6-inch model provides 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD with an RTX 5060 graphics card and Intel Core i7 processor. It features a 144Hz refresh rate, surpassing the Dell's standard display. This laptop is designed for gaming and heavy multitasking. It is heavier at 5 pounds and slightly wider at 10 inches. You gain significant graphical power and a faster screen. However, you lose the business security features and vPro technology of the Dell Latitude. Select this if you prioritize gaming performance and high refresh rates over portability and enterprise-grade security features.

MSI Katana 15.6" QHD 165Hz RTX 5070 Laptop

The MSI Katana 15.6-inch model offers 64GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD with an RTX 5070 graphics card. It features a 165Hz QHD screen, providing superior visual clarity and speed. The processor is an Intel Core i7. This machine is built for high-performance gaming and heavy multitasking. It is significantly heavier at 49.8 pounds and larger in dimensions, making it less portable. You gain top-tier graphics and a high-resolution display. However, the extreme weight and size make it impractical for travel. Choose this if you need maximum graphical power and do not require a portable business laptop.
