The Dell Latitude 14-Inch Touchscreen Laptop offers 32GB of RAM and a 14-inch FHD touch display in a compact frame. If you are evaluating dell latitude 14 inch touchscreen laptop alternatives, you may need different specifications for your workflow. This guide compares 6 options that share core business features while varying in weight, screen size, or storage capacity.

Each alternative was selected because its published specs overlap with the original model. You might prefer a lighter chassis for frequent travel, a larger 15.6-inch screen for more workspace, or a different storage configuration. Some options drop the touchscreen to reduce cost or weight, while others provide vPro security features. These choices allow you to match your exact needs for multitasking, portability, and display real estate without compromising on essential business performance.

Key differences in specs

Dell Latitude 14-inch Touch Laptop with 32GB RAM

This Dell Latitude model shares the same 32GB RAM and Core i7-1185G7 processor as the top pick, but it weighs 3 pounds compared to the original's 2.89 pounds. The chassis dimensions differ slightly, with a height of 0.67 inches versus 1 inch in the reference model. You get identical 512GB SSD storage and touch display capabilities. If you prefer a slightly slimmer profile and do not mind the extra weight, this variant offers the same multitasking performance for business applications. The core specifications remain consistent, making it a direct substitute for users who prioritize memory capacity and touch navigation without needing discrete graphics.

Dell Latitude 14-Inch Core i7 Laptop

This Dell Latitude 7420 retains the 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration but lists a weight of 1.22 kilograms, which is approximately 2.69 pounds. This is lighter than the original 2.89-pound model. It uses the same Intel Core i7 processor and 14-inch screen size. The physical dimensions vary, with a length of 13.6 inches compared to the original's 14 inches. This model suits professionals who need high memory and processing power but prefer a slightly more compact footprint. It lacks the specific touch display emphasis of the original, focusing instead on raw performance metrics. It is a solid choice for stationary or occasional mobile business use where weight and space are considerations.

Dell Latitude 14" Core i7 Laptop

The Dell Latitude 5440 reduces RAM to 16GB while keeping the Core i7 processor and 512GB SSD. It weighs 2 pounds, which is significantly lighter than the original's 2.89 pounds. The screen size remains 14 inches. This model sacrifices half the memory capacity for a more portable form factor. If you do not require 32GB of RAM for heavy multitasking, this option provides a lighter carry weight and similar storage speed. It is best for users who prioritize portability and processing power over maximum memory capacity. The trade-off is clear: you gain mobility but lose the ability to run more intensive multi-application workloads simultaneously compared to the original.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 14-Inch Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 offers 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, matching the storage of the original but halving the memory. It weighs 2.4 pounds, lighter than the Dell's 2.89 pounds. Crucially, it lacks a touchscreen, offering a 16:10 aspect ratio display instead. This model is designed for frequent travelers who need an ultralight business notebook. If you do not need touch input and prefer a taller screen workspace, this is a strong alternative. It gives up the touch capability and higher RAM of the original for improved portability and a different display format. It suits professionals who value screen real estate and weight savings over touch navigation.

Dell Latitude 15.6" Core i7 Laptop

This Dell Latitude 5520 increases the screen size to 15.6 inches while reducing RAM to 16GB. It keeps the Core i7 processor and 512GB SSD. The weight jumps to 5 pounds, much heavier than the original's 2.89 pounds. This model sacrifices portability and memory capacity for a larger display and vPro features. It is ideal for users who value display real estate over compact mobility. If you need more screen space for spreadsheets or design work and do not mind the extra weight, this is a practical option. It gives up the lightweight nature and high RAM of the original for a robust business experience with a larger viewing area.

Dell Latitude 14-Inch Ultrabook 32GB RAM

The Dell Latitude 7480 maintains 32GB RAM but increases storage to 1TB SSD, doubling the capacity of the original's 512GB drive. It weighs 14-14.99 inches in screen size range, but the specific weight is not listed in the provided specs, though it is an Ultrabook. This model prioritizes massive RAM and large storage over the newest processor generation or touchscreen features. It lacks the touch display of the original. It suits users who need extensive local data storage and high memory capacity without requiring the latest CPU or touch input. It is a storage-focused alternative for professionals who manage large files and multiple applications simultaneously.
